BANGI ASRA (Bharatiya Adivasi Nawa Gaynahar Itun Asra)– as the name signify was established on 28th June, 1992 with an aim and objective to provide an all-round platform for the tribes (Santhali) people as a motivation of generating scope for exploring Artists of this region through various modes of art forms viz. Drama etc.
The Artists and interested participants associated with Bangi Asra are being provided training in various forms of art which will further help the learners in self-employment and spread an arena of entertainment for the art-lovers of Chhotanagpur Region (Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar).
Keeping in view of the above initiative, the Bangi Asra was later on converted to Trust in January 2018. The main vision was to promote social welfare and awareness among the tribes (Santhal) through various programmes namely, Drama etc. It is worthwhile to mention here that Bangi Asra has been organising awareness programmes among the tribes since its inception.
Objectives of the Bangi Asra trust
1.Cultural Art and Educational development of the trust.
2. To establish and maintain a Girls and Boys boarding house for such student who come from outstation for receiving education in the said school and receive education as such
3.Religion development of the tribal trust.
4. Medical facility for poor/rural people.
5. Shelter for homeless children.
6. To render help and assistance to victim of natural calamities.
